The Story of the New Testament 2
Saturday January 4th, 8:30am-12:30pm @ Good Shepherd Community Church.
NOTE: This is part 2 of a 2 part class.
What is this course all about?
The New Testament is a crazy collection of literature. It has four versions of the story of Jesus’s life and ministry, death, and resurrection. There is a large collection of letters to specific, ancient churches written by a guy (Paul) who wasn’t even an original Apostle. The letters from the three main Apostles in the Gospels (Peter, James, and John) are stuck at the end. The New Testament ends with book of full of wild, apocalyptic imagery. It’s easy to miss the intentional structure and storyline of the New Testament.
After taking this course you will be able to . . .
• trace the main story line of the New Testament into and through the New Testament.
• understand the message and meaning of that story in relationship to your Christian faith.
• apply the message of the New Testament to your real life.
• love God more deeply through your reading of the New Testament.
